He was the beloved husband of Marion, father of Emily, Laura, George and Patrick; dear son of Murray and the late Vera Clauser; brother of Lance Clauser and Myles Clauser. |
Born June 13, 1951, in Chicago, he died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, in Lake Zurich. Chief Clauser was the current police chief of Barrington Hills, a former chief of police in Lake Zurich and retired deputy chief of Wilmette. He was a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Quantico, Va., in 1981; served as chairman of the International Association of Chiefs of Police; was a member of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police Planning and Policy Committee; and was a member of the Lake County Chiefs of Police Association. He served on the governing boards of Lake County Metropolitan Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Enforcement Group, the Northeast Multi-Regional Training Board, the Lake County Enhanced 911 Governing Board, where he served as vice chairman, and the Lake Zurich Dispatch Operations Board, where he was vice chair. Chief Clauser was a member of the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, where he served as an agency assessor/team leader as well as on the Standards Review Task Force since 1993. |
